Snowflakes for Sandy Hook Elementary

As many of you know, Sandy Hook Elementary School faced a terrible tragedy before Christmas. Their PTA asked for people to send snowflakes to make their new school a winter wonderland when the students return. Due to the overwhelming response, they have had to stop this collection. They have suggested that people make snowflakes and hang them in their own places to continue to show support of Sandy Hook Elementary. We have made snowflakes and will be hanging them in our hallway to let Sandy Hook know we are praying for them. The third and fifth grade classes will be adding snowflakes to our wall for Sandy Hook.

Learning Sign Language

We have begun a unit in science on sound and hearing. We were discussing the form of communication of Sign Language for those who are hearing impaired. We learned the alphabet as well as had some fun trying to sign some of our favorite praise songs.

Christmas Party

We had a great time at our Christmas Party!

J.E. Reeves Field Trip

On December 14, we took a field trip to the J.E. Reeves Victorian Home and Carriage House museum. The class enjoyed the trip and learned a great deal about this part of Ohio's history.

Christmas Program 2012

On December 13, 2012, IHCS performed its annual Christmas Program. The 4th graders did a fabulous job! Enjoy looking at their happy faces.

We love to begin each day in song. This blessed the teacher's heart on this Monday morning. The class sings so beautifully and loves to praise our Lord!
